On November 27, our family was enjoying our Thanksgiving dinner. At 10:00pm my wife and I and our two sons were watching a Christmas movie. Suddenly our Crossfire smoke alarms went off. I went into the kitchen to silence the alarm and saw flames on my cupboard burning clear to the ceiling.

I yelled “fire!” to my family, then grabbed my extinguisher from Crossfire from my pantry and put out the fire. My wife grabbed a cutting board that was smoking and put it in the sink. My wife and I started cleaning up the mess and finally the ionization smoke alarm went off. It hangs next to the Crossfire alarm!

I truly believe that if we had to rely on the cheap alarms in our home and hadn’t purchased Crossfire, we would have lost our home by the time we noticed the fire.
